Cutting Edge expands in Perrysburg

Perrysburg-based Cutting Edge Countertops has experienced significant growth over the last few years, more than doubling its employment since 2008. The company now has three buildings on its Flagship Drive site, services both residential and commercial clientele, and will soon employ more than 60 associates. It also operates six CNC machines over three daily shifts, which are designed to allow for greater production capabilities and consistent quality.

Cutting Edge Countertops moved into the new facility (adjacent to its existing building) in February 2010 and was fully operational by July 2010.Burns and his brother, Brian Burns, vice president, previously worked for a family-owned business designing kitchens. "Times could always be a lot better," Burns concluded. "We have been fortunate to experience growth. If you work hard, you have a plan, and you take care of your customers, you can still grow a business in hard economic times. We've been able to do that and therefore reinvest into the business to prepare for when the economy improves."
